The Weber Spirit E-425 gas barbecue pairs a grill and a griddle across a single 61 x 45 cm cooking surface. That equal split lets you sear a cut of meat on one side while vegetables or fish cook on the other, with no transfer of oil or flavours. Its four stainless steel burners deliver 8.2 kW in total.

Two Boost burners form a searing zone that reaches a higher temperature than the rest of the surface. That localised surge is there to mark meat before moving it to a gentler area to finish cooking. Running on gas avoids waiting for charcoal to light and lets you cut the heat instantly.

The firebox is cast aluminium and the grate enamelled cast iron, two materials chosen for thermal inertia and corrosion resistance. Enamelled cast iron holds heat and marks meat, while cleaning more easily than bare cast iron. The unit measures 132 x 68 x 118 cm when open and weighs 47 kg, a footprint to plan for on a terrace or in a garden store.
