The consumer has a period of two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the enforcement of the legal guarantee of conformity in the event of a lack of conformity. During this period, the consumer need only establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared. The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to repair or replacement of the goods within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience. If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee. If the consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for two years from replacement. The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods, or end the contract with a full refund against return of the goods, if: 1° the trader refuses to repair or replace the goods; 2° repair or replacement occurs after thirty days; 3° repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer; 4° the lack of conformity persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity. The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or rescission of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious as to justify immediate action, without having to request repair or replacement first. The consumer is not entitled to rescission if the lack of conformity is minor. Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period. These rights arise from Articles L.217-1 to L.217-32 of the French Consumer Code. A seller who obstructs the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith incurs a civil fine (Article L.241-5). The consumer also benefits from the legal warranty against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect; this entitles them to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or a full refund against return of the goods.

If the appliance shows a lack of conformity (manufacturing defect or non-conforming operation) within 2 years of delivery, we repair or replace it free of charge. Defects appearing within 24 months are presumed to have existed at the time of delivery (Art. L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

Independently of the warranty of conformity, if the appliance has a hidden defect making it unfit for use, you may choose between rescinding the sale or a price reduction (Art. 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), within 2 years of discovering the defect.

Some products benefit from a manufacturer’s commercial warranty (duration and coverage shown on the product page where applicable). It is in addition to the legal warranties and does not replace them.

In accordance with French regulations, we take back your equivalent old household appliance free of charge for any purchase of a new appliance of the same type. Small appliance: local collection point or prepaid return label on request. Large appliance delivered by carrier: free take-back at the delivery point if the old appliance is unplugged, drained, cleaned and safely accessible (option to tick before ordering).
