Ninja Slushi FS301EU frozen drinks maker

The Ninja Slushi frozen drink maker turns a liquid drink into a slush without ice cubes or blending. The principle differs from a crushed-ice blender: the drink is chilled and worked continuously until fine, even crystals form that do not separate into water and syrup. That is what sets a proper slush apart from a drink watered down by melting ice.

Five automatic programmes cover slush, frozen cocktail, frappé, milkshake and frozen juice. Preparation takes 15 to 60 minutes depending on the ingredients used. Added sugar is required for correct operation, as sugar lowers the freezing point and stops the mixture setting solid.

Its WhisperChill compressor keeps the drink frozen for up to twelve hours after preparation. That holding time changes the use: the machine becomes a serving point during a party, instead of forcing everything to be drunk within half an hour. The reservoir is rated at 2,5 litres, for a usable fill capacity of 1,892 millilitres.
