The Rowenta Turbo Silence 16 pedestal fan moves the air of a living room with a 40 cm blade set and 70 watts of power. Its five blades, more than the usual three, shift a comparable volume of air at a lower rotation speed. That principle is what lowers the noise at similar output, hence the Silence name.

A Turbo Boost button takes output to 80 cubic metres per minute when the perceived temperature needs to drop quickly. In everyday use you then step back down to a quieter setting, suited to an evening or a night. Dual airflow orientation lets you direct the air upwards or downwards rather than taking it head-on continuously.
