The Shark ChillPill is a portable cooler that fits in a bag, at 11,2 cm high by 8,42 cm deep. It brings three functions into one body: fan, mister and cold contact, each activated by an attachment you swap by hand. One honest point applies from the outset: it produces a breeze and local cooling, it does not cool a room.

In fan mode, the appliance moves 43 m³ of air per hour across ten speeds. That granularity is directly useful, because Shark states the trade-off plainly: the faster the blade turns, the higher the flow, but the greater the noise, from 52 decibels at the lowest to 72 at the highest. You set it to the situation, low speed in a meeting or on a train, high speed outdoors.

Misting sprays a fine water vapour from a built-in tank, and replacement wicks are supplied with the appliance. The InstaChill cooling plate is applied directly to the skin, at the wrist or the back of the neck, where blood runs closest to the surface. These three approaches complement rather than replace one another, depending on whether you want airflow, moisture or cold contact.

Stated runtime reaches 11 hours and charging is over USB-C, on the same cable as a recent phone. The appliance comes with its three attachments, the charging cable, spare wicks and a travel case. Shark covers it for 2 years, keeps spare parts available for 7 years from purchase, and the 0,24 € WEEE eco-contribution is included in the displayed price.
