See full descriptionThe Ninja Creami Deluxe NC502EU does not churn a liquid mixture: it works on an already frozen base and turns it creamy. The principle is the reverse of a conventional ice cream maker. You freeze a mixture in its pot the day before, then the machine shaves it finely with a blade until the texture turns smooth. There is no bowl to pre-chill and no compressor to wait for, and the trade-off is that the overnight freeze has to be planned.
Ten automatic programmes cover ice cream, sorbet, light ice cream, gelato, milkshake, frappé, frozen drink, granita, frozen yoghurt and an Extras programme for folding in pieces at the end of a cycle. Each applies its own speed and depth of pass, which saves guessing at settings: a sorbet and a milkshake do not ask the same treatment of the ice. CREAMify Advanced technology relies on two motors, one driving the blade, the other managing its descent into the pot.
Two 709 ml Creami Deluxe pots are supplied with their lids, around 1.4 litres in total. Two pots rather than one change how the machine is actually used: you can keep one base in the freezer while serving the other, and follow one flavour with another without waiting 24 hours. The pots are BPA-free and the stainless steel Creamify blade lifts out for cleaning.
The machine draws 800 W, measures 22 x 16.4 x 44 cm and weighs 9.43 kg. Its 44 cm height is worth checking before buying if wall units sit above the worktop, since the lid has to open in place. It is made in China and covered for 2 years.
