Solo means it heats by microwave alone, with no grill and no fan oven: it reheats, defrosts and cooks, but does not brown. At 24,2 cm high by 44,5 cm wide it is one of the most compact in its category, suited to a kitchenette or a shelf.
Five power levels cover everyday uses, from reheating to defrosting. Defrosting is run on the timer: you set the time according to weight rather than letting a sensor decide, a method without electronics but one that asks you to know your item roughly. The glass turntable is 24,5 cm across and the door opens sideways.
The timer is mechanical, which removes the control electronics, one of the most common failures on digital microwaves. In return, the absence of a child lock on this appliance should be stated honestly, a point to weigh in a household with young children. It has no weight, temperature or humidity sensors either: every setting is manual.
