The Einhell GC-KS 2540 CB garden shredder turns pruning waste into chippings on the spot. Its 2500 W electric motor runs at 3,800 revolutions per minute and takes branches up to 40 mm in diameter. That capacity covers the routine pruning of hedges, shrubs and small fruit trees in an ornamental garden.

Its cutting relies on two reversible steel blades. The principle differs from a roller shredder: the blades slice rather than crush, which gives finer chippings and a steady throughput on green branches as well as dry wood. Being reversible, they can be turned round once the first edge dulls, which doubles their service life before replacement.

The feed hopper is wide and folds down, with a safety lock that cuts the motor as soon as it is opened. Overload protection stops the machine before the motor strains on an oversized branch.
