Fagor FTV2520T ceramic domino hob 2 zones

The Fagor FTV2520T ceramic domino hob is 29 cm wide and combines with other modules to build a hob to measure. Its overall height of 5,8 cm leaves room for the drawer fitted below the worktop. Its two zones are radiant: an element heats beneath the glass and transmits heat by radiation through it.

Radiant differs from induction in its indifference to the pan used. No special pan is needed, no ferromagnetic base and no minimum diameter: the glass heats and transmits, whatever material sits on it. In return, heat-up is more gradual and the surface stays hot after switching off, which lets you finish cooking on residual heat.

Nine power levels allow precise setting, from a simmer to a full boil. The controls are front knobs, one per zone: they can be handled with wet or greasy hands, unlike touch buttons which sometimes refuse contact. That is the main difference from slider dominos, to be chosen on preference of use more than on performance.

The surface is black glass, easy to maintain with a cloth and a product suited to ceramic glass. The appliance totals 2,900 W and drops into a standard 52 cm deep worktop. Fagor keeps spare parts available for 11 years, and the 4,68 € WEEE eco-contribution is included in the displayed price.
